These “evilution” e-mails remind me of a conversation that Haskell and I just had last Saturday after looking at roadkill :) There was a dead opossum in the road, and another one not far away. We got to talking about how wonderful it is that God created the living creatures (scavengers) to “clean up” everything that dies. Haskell even broke it down to bacteria and viruses. We talked about how intricate and detailed our world is, and it couldn’t have just come from a “big bang”.
This universe did not come into being with a “big bang”, but it will certainly end in one: “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (2Pet. 3:10).
