Uncle Joe used to say, “It takes the power of God to not be a hypocrite.” It also takes the power of God not to be a liar or a fool or any other evil thing. There is not one among us who can live a good life without the power of the holy Ghost. Such a life is not in man; it is only in God. A holy life is God’s life, and only if He gives us His life can we escape our life of darkness and hypocrisy.
