Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

What Someone Else’s Blessing Does Not mean

From a sermon by Brother Kenneth Johnson.

While warning his congregation not to envy each other’s blessings or callings, Brother Kenneth made this comment worthy of special note: “God’s choosing of someone else does not mean that he has rejected you.”

God still loves you, even if He chooses someone else to receive a special blessing or to be used in a special way. Our heavenly Father blesses any one among us for the good of all the rest of us. If you are blessed, it is for me; if I am blessed, it is for you. So, don’t feel left out if someone else receives a blessing. If you are in the body, you are not left out at all, because any blessing that anybody in the body receives improves the spiritual condition of the whole body.
