Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

Speaking For Christ

Christianity is a lie because it speaks about Jesus rather than for him. Paul said, “We pray you in Christ’s stead” (2Cor. 5:20). He spoke for Christ to men. The body of Christ on earth is the means Jesus himself uses to speak to mankind; it is not to be a source of mere words about the savior, no matter how good those words appear to be.

When you testify, ask yourself this question: Are you speaking for Christ or merely talking about him? Peter said, “If any man speak, let it be as the oracles of God” (1Pet. 4:11). That must mean that if we have nothing from God to offer to others, then it is better just to be quiet. In that case, it just isn’t your turn yet. Wait until you have something from God, and then let no man stop you from testifying to it.
