Jesus and Animal Sacrifice

Pastor John,

Jesus was a Jew and was required to do everything the Jews did, such as being circumcised in the flesh, keeping the feast days, holy days, and being water baptized. Did he ever make animal sacrifices?

Hi Randell:

While on earth, Jesus himself would not have been allowed to make animal sacrifices, being from the tribe of Judah instead of from the priestly tribe of Levi. But he certainly would have brought animals for the priests to offer in sacrifice for him. Jesus did not begin to function as our high priest until after he ascended into heaven and was consecrated in the days before Pentecost morning in Acts 2.
