Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.  Therefore, let us go forth to him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.  For we have no continuing city here, but we seek one to come.

Prayer Meeting Notes from Rebekah, Part Sixteen:
Need The Bible?

“About four years ago, I put a piece of notebook paper in my Bible on which to write down things said during the meetings that really stood out to me.”
Rebekah Joy

“If you know God, you don’t need the Bible.”

Preacher Clark used to remind us of what Jesus did not say. The Lord did not say, “When I’m gone, I’ll have a book written that will guide you into all truth.” Rather, he would tell us that Jesus said, “I will send you a Spirit that will guide you in all truth.”

We need the God that the Bible tells about more than we need the Bible itself. On the New Earth that God has prepared for His saints, there will be no Bibles. There are no Bibles in heaven now. Wherever the knowledge of God rules, the Bible does not. There are many verses in the Bible itself that plainly tell us this, such as:

Those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.” - Paul

You search the Scriptures, thinking that in them you have eternal life, but they are they that testify of me, and you will not come to me.” - Jesus.

The letter [Scripture] kills, but the Spirit gives life” - Paul

If there was no one on earth who could tell you what is right, and no book that you could read to find out what is right, could you still do the will of God? You could if you were led by the Spirit. True religion is not religion of the Bible but religion of the heart, led by the Spirit of God.

I thank God that He has given us the precious Bible that we have, but I thank Him more for His promise that the day is coming when we will no longer need it or have it.
